In the T/C lesson, the topic of corporate bankruptcies came up, so I brought up examples of corporate bankruptcies that had occurred in Japan and the United States, which I had researched beforehand, to develop the discussion. I thought this kind of exchange of opinions was beneficial for absorbing new knowledge and practicing conversation.

This topic dealt with poverty, and within that, we touched upon the customs of lending and borrowing money in Japan and the Philippines, expanding the discussion and using it as a conversation practice exercise.

The last sentence of the passage in T/C's lesson was a famous line, so I asked her, "Do you know who said this?" I later realized my answer was wrong, and that her more modest answer was actually correct, which made me feel embarrassed. But it was a fun lesson, with us exchanging ideas in a game-like manner.

This time, we again discussed topics related to T/C lessons, exchanging opinions on popular social media platforms among Japanese people and sharing experiences of posting reviews of QQEnglish under the pen name Noburin, which helped with conversation practice.

I took a lesson on the new topic of "Innovation." My answers to each question tend to be too long, and I occasionally check if she can understand my pronunciation, but I'm often impressed by how well she understands. I also really appreciate that she always asks me for clarification when something is unclear, as it shows she's listening carefully.

In this T/C lesson, we again discussed topics related to "superstition," and exchanged opinions on how the meaning of superstitions differs between Japan and other countries due to cultural differences. I believe this has been helpful in acquiring new knowledge and improving my everyday English conversation skills.

This time, we exchanged opinions on English expressions for superstitions and proverbs related to T/C lessons, as well as Japanese culture. Although my explanation was imperfect, I did my best, and judging from her reaction, I felt she understood quite a bit, making it an enjoyable and beneficial lesson for me as well.

I had my third T/C lesson with Ms. Averlyn. Her explanations were easy to understand, but I was trying too hard to give clever responses, and as a result, I couldn't express myself as well as I wanted. That's my biggest regret this time. But I was grateful that she listened calmly without paying any attention to that.
