I took a lesson with Ms. Herzon for the first time in about four months. We started with some small talk to catch up on each other's recent news. The main part of the session focused on a "Family"-themed passage; I asked her questions—such as what the pronoun "it" referred to and how certain phrases could be rephrased—and her clear explanations made for a very productive lesson.

Ms. Herzon is very popular with students, so it's difficult to book a lesson, and it had been 9 days since my last one. We made small talk and I shared what I've been up to. Also, since the T/C advanced course uses somewhat difficult vocabulary in the passages, I decided to ask questions about any unclear points as I went along. I think this kind of two-way exchange of opinions makes the lesson effective for conversation practice.

Ms. Herzon's schedule is packed, making it harder to book an appointment than before. This time, I took a T/C lesson for the first time in a while. I thought that occasionally the conversation would develop into topics related to the slides, which was effective for learning about each other's cultural differences and for practicing conversation.

Today, during the second T/C lesson, we made steady progress.
As usual, I had done some preparation, so I felt at ease and was able to concentrate on Ms. Herzon's enthusiastic explanation. I really hope that this year will be a year of great progress for me in improving my overall English ability.
